Ingredients needed

  1. 1 cup wheat flour

7. 1/4 cup of cocoa powder

  1. Take a bowl add 100 gms of butter, 3/4 cup of jaggery or 1/2 cup powdered brown sugar. Then use a whisk or an egg beater to turn it into batter.

2. Then add 3 eggs and mix the batter.Next, add 1/4 cup of cocoa powder and mix it well.

3. Then add 1 cup of wheat flour into the batter and mix it well.

4.Then add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and 1 teaspoon baking powder and mix it well

5. Add 1/4 cup of milk if batter is not smooth enough. If the batter is smooth you can add less milk.Ensure your batter has a smooth consistency

6.Then take a mould and brush it with oil. Place a parchment paper and then pour the batter into the mould and finally top it with your favorite nuts. I personally love to top my batter with cashews cardamom powder and sugar free dark chocolate pieces. Slightly roasting your cashews before adding it to the batter can help to improve the taste.

7.Pre heat the oven to 180°C and bake your cake for 30 to 35 minutes. Use a tooth pick to check if its cooked well. Once its cooked well enough, take it out allow it to cool down.
