Introduction

Ragi dosa is a popular South Indian crepe that tastes best with coconut chutney. Ragi is rich in vitamins, minerals and fibre making it a healthy morning breakfast. Here is a simple recipe for ragi dosa.

Ingredients needed

  1. 1 cup of ragi flour
  2. half cup of wheat flour
  3. 2 tablespoons of dosa batter or rice flour
  4. 2 cups of water
  5. 1/2 piece of finely chopped onion pieces
  6. 2 pieces of chopped green chilli
  7. 7 pieces of curry leaves chopped
  8. 1/4 cup of coriander leaves chopped

How to make ragi dosa 

  1. Take a bowl and add 1 cup of ragi flour.
  2. Next, add 1/2 cup of wheat flour and 2 tablespoons of dosa batter.

3. Next, add 1 tablespoon of red rice flour. This is completely optional but adding this makes your dosa more crispy.

4. Next, add salt based on your taste preference.

5. Then add water and mix to bring the required consistency for your ragi dosa. Make sure it does not become too watery.

6. After mixing and bringing the required consistency add the chopped onions, green chillies, curry leaves and coriander leaves to your batter.

7. Allow it to ferment for 15 minutes before making your ragi dosa.

8. After 15 minutes, take a kadai and heat it once the kadai has become hot enough add a few drops of oil and pour the batter into the kadai. Pour the batter into a thin ragi dosa. Increase the flame a bit as ragi can take some time to cook. Then flip it over to cook the other side once the dosa is cooked. You can transfer it to your plate and enjoy your ragi dosa.
