Simple rava upma recipe
Introduction
Rava upma is a classic South Indian breakfast made from roasted semolina, packed with flavor and nutrition. It’s light, wholesome, and easy to prepare, making it a go-to choice for busy mornings. Ingredients needed
1 cup of rava
3 cups of water
1 chilli
1 teaspoon of mustard and jeera seeds
10 cashews
1/2 cup finely chopped carrots
1/4 cup of finely chopped coriander

- Take a deep frying pan and add 1 tbsp of oil. Next add 1 teaspoon of mustard and jeera seeds and a chilli gently fry them in low flame.

2. Next add 10 pieces of cashews and fry them till they turn golden brown.Then add 1/2 cup of chopped carrots and fry them for 3 minutes

3. Add the chopped coriander leaves and fry it
4. Next add 3 cups of water and 1/2 tbsp of salt and allow the water to boil well.

5. Once the water is boiled well, add the roasted rava little by little and stir it. Make sure there are no lumps.
6.Once you have added all the rava stir it and let it cook.

7. Once the rava has absorbed the water and cooked well, you can switch off the flame and add 2 tbsp of ghee and mix it again.
8. Serve your rava upma.
