Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup of rava
  • 2 cups of water
  • cup of sugar
  • 12 numbers of cashews
  • 2 tbsp of ghee

Instructions
 

  • Take a frying pan and add 1/2 table spoon of ghee. Then add your cashewnuts and deep fry them until they turn golden brown. You can also add raisins and cardamom if you want.
  • After deep frying them. Remove them from the frying pan and set it aside.
  • Next add 1 cup of rava and roast it for 2 minutes in low flame.
  • After the rava is roasted, remove it and set it aside.
  • Then add 2 cups of water and let it boil well.
  • After the water has boiled enough. You can add the sugar and stir it well. The sugar should dissolve.
  • Then add the rava and stir it well. Add 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder to provide the colour for the kesari.
  • Keep the flame low and stir it. The rava will start to cook and once rava has absorbed the water completely. The kesari is ready, you can add 2 tablespoons of ghee.
  • Next add the roasted cashews in your kesari. Your kesari is ready to be served.
